Prevent Contractable Diseases

Under-immunized children are not only at risk for contracting preventable diseases but pose a significant health risk to other children. In the state of Tennessee, children who are not properly vaccinated are not able to attend public schools including pre-k and Head Start programs, daycare, most private schools, and other programs such as camps.

Raleigh Group, PC believes in providing the utmost of safe and effective care to the patients and families we serve. This includes standards and practices based on extensive research from experts including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

We follow a strict, uniform immunization schedule at specific age-intervals based on CDC recommendations. Raleigh Group, PC neither discriminates against nor denies care to under-immunized patients; however, we strongly encourage all parents to have their children vaccinated. We do understand there are certain medical situations in which immunizations are not in the best interest of the child including but not limited to being immunocompromised, having leukemia, HIV and AIDS, etc.

Raleigh Group, PC will under no circumstances grant any exemption for immunizations except for properly documented, valid medical reasons for withholding immunizations.

Raleigh Group, PC is neither required by law to issue nor will grant any religious exemption from immunizations. According to Tennessee State Law (TCA §1200-14-01-.29(18)(c), a parent may prepare a written statement for school enrollment purposes that vaccination conflicts with their particular religious tenets and practices.
