Well-Child Visits

Well-Child Visits

At Raleigh Group Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, we recommend that all children from newborns to teens have a regular well visit check-up. These visits are particularly important for young children and newborns.  Once you become a patient, we’ll make sure your child is scheduled to see their Memphis pediatrician at regular intervals.

Why Well-Child Visits are Important

This is the best time to ask questions and to confirm that your baby is meeting all of the normal developmental milestones.  Our experienced pediatricians are ready to address your concerns and give you knowledgeable advice.  Well-child visits are an important part of childhood and help your family develop healthy wellness habits.  Your pediatrician should be almost like a member of your family, and at Raleigh Group, we’ll be with you every step of the way, offering guidance and support to help you make the best decisions for your child.

What to Expect During a Well-Child Visit

The following is a list of routine items we’ll cover during a well-child visit.

  • A full physical
  • Vitals like temperature and heart rate
  • Nutrition
  • Bathroom habits
  • Sleep habits
  • Speech habits
  • Immunizations
  • Tips for safety and wellness
  • Other milestones

After we cover all of the basics, we’ll address any of our own concerns and ensure that you leave our offices well-prepared for the next few months.  Of course, we’re only a phone call away should you have any questions.
