I spend most of my hours away from work spending time with my husband, daughter, and dog. My favorite hobbies are reading for fun, yoga, and baking. I also love to travel and trying out new restaurants.

What are you most looking forward to with being a part of  Raleigh Group?

At Raleigh Group, I am most looking forward to building relationships with my patients and their families, as well as working with them to make healthy lifestyle habits that will last a lifetime.

Education

Received BA degree from the University of Chattanooga 1967 and then an MD from the University of Tennessee 1970. After completing 3 years of pediatric residency with a program at St. Jude Children’s Hospital, served as a Major and head of the pediatric department with the US Army at Fort Rucker Alabama. Then moved back to Memphis and joined the Raleigh Group in 1976 (one year after it was founded) and has been practicing there ever since.

Personal Interests

My heart is with my family of three amazing children and nine exceptional grandchildren.  Keeping in contact and being of service to them is most important.   Reading, listening to music, exercising and working in my yard are my day-to-day pleasures, when I am not working on crossword puzzles.  For years I have been excited about and attended Memphis basketball—-Tigers and Grizzlies, and also just being a small part of this growing and maturing city since 1967.

Raleigh Group/Pediatric Philosophy

Pediatricians are tasked with providing coordinated, comprehensive care to children.  That is, figure out what the child and/or family needs and deliver it.  It has been my privilege to work towards this goal during my 45 years in practice.  There have been so may interesting and wonderful people I have met and so many satisfying, and sometimes exciting, outcomes.  Working with children and their families has so enriched both my professional and personal life.

What do you love most about the work you do at Raleigh Group?

My heroes are the grandparents who are, later in life, raising their grandchildren. I love seeing happy, healthy kids.

Dr Hillebert joined Raleigh Group P.C. Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine in 1988 after the completion of the Pediatric Residency Program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center Children’s Hospital.   She has been board certified in Pediatrics for over thirty years and is a General Pediatrician.

She has enjoyed life-long learning about pediatrics.  What she enjoys most is watching infants grow into adults and then having their children become her patients too.  The children and their families and the relationships with them over many years of practice is what makes her job the best job in the world.

Special interests in Pediatrics include orthopedic problems, infectious diseases, and developmental problems.  What is most important to her is maintaining good communication with parents and working with them to keep their children as healthy as possible.  That means making sure that each child receives vaccines for preventable diseases and making sure infants and children are examined often.  It is critical to detect health and developmental problems as early as possible.

While Dr Hillebert enjoys her grandchildren and a few interesting hobbies, her focus in the office is always on her patients.  Making Raleigh Group serve children and their families in a caring and effective way has been her life-time goal.

I enjoy cooking, personal fitness and spending time with my husband and 2 daughters. I am bilingual (born in Puerto Rico) and enjoy getting to speak Spanish with my parents.

My areas of special interest include caring for premature infants, asthma care/maintenence and adolescent health.
